Elevit Pronatal is a medicinal product containing 12 essential vitamins, 4 minerals and 3 trace elements. The amount of vitamins corresponds to the doses recommended for the diet of pregnant and nursing women. The amount of minerals contained in the preparation is lower than the recommended doses, with the exception of iron; trace elements are contained in optimal dosages. In the period before and during pregnancy, Elevit Pronatal fills the needs for vitamins and trace elements necessary for its normal course.

Vitamin A is involved in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and provides normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, and the visual organ.

Vitamin B 1 normalizes the activity of the heart and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B 2 promotes tissue regeneration processes, including skin cells.

Vitamin B 6 helps maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, and gums, has an effect on erythropoiesis, and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B 12 is involved in erythropoiesis and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

B vitamins are involved in the formation of various enzymes that regulate different types of metabolism in the body, help reduce nausea and vomiting attacks in pregnant women with toxicosis.

Vitamin C is involved in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of connective tissue metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, and normalizes capillary permeability. Vitamin C increases the body's resistance to infections and reduces inflammatory reactions.

Vitamin D 3 plays an important role in maintaining the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body of a pregnant woman. If it is not enough, rickets occurs in children, and in adults, the calcium content in the bone tissue decreases (osteoporosis).

Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant. It prevents increased blood clotting and has a beneficial effect on peripheral blood circulation. It is involved in the synthesis of proteins and hemoglobin, in the process of cell growth, the function of skeletal muscles, heart and blood vessels, and sex glands. A lack of vitamin E in the early stages of pregnancy can cause a miscarriage.

Biotin takes part in metabolic processes, promotes the absorption of protein.

Calcium Pantothenate is involved in the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.

Folic acid stimulates erythropoiesis.

Nicotinamide takes part in redox processes, provides the transfer of hydrogen and phosphate.

Calcium is involved in the formation of bone tissue, blood clotting, transmission of nerve impulses, reduction of skeletal and smooth muscles, normal heart function, and contributes to the absorption of iron.

Magnesium is involved in the formation of muscle and bone tissue, and also takes part in protein synthesis.

Iron is part of the hemoglobin molecule, participates in the transport of oxygen in the body and prevents the development of anemia in a pregnant woman, especially during the second and third trimesters.

Phosphorus, along with calcium, is involved in the formation of bones and teeth, and is also involved in energy exchange processes.

Manganese contributes to proper bone mineralization.

Copper is necessary for normal red blood cell function and iron metabolism.

Zinc is necessary for the normal formation of the fetal skeleton and tissue regeneration, is part of some hormones, including insulin, and reduces the likelihood of a number of intrauterine abnormalities.

Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the sulfonamides group (including the appearance of crystals in the urine).

Antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium, and colestyramine reduce iron absorption.

With simultaneous administration of diuretics from the thiazide group, the likelihood of hypercalcemia increases.

If you need to take other medications in combination with Elevit Pronatal, an interval of about 2 hours should be observed between doses.

When taken at the recommended dose, there is no likelihood of an overdose of vitamins and minerals contained in Elevit Pronatal.
